Ready to Rent Workshop, September 17, 2008

(Raleigh, NC) Wake County Supportive Housing is holding its next Ready to Rent seminar series at Wake County Human Services Cornerstone Building in Raleigh, NC. Participants will learn how to gain approval for apartment leasing when they have prior history of credit problems or eviction.
The Ready to Rent program includes:
- 12 hours of tenant education
- tenant rights and responsibilities
- tips on repairing credit
- referrals for landlords

Wake County Human Services-Cornerstone 220 Snow Avenue Raleigh, NC 27603This four day event takes place from Monday September 15 through Thursday September 18. On Wednesday, September 17, Vision Credit Education will be providing the 3 hour credit class through a partnership with Fiscal Progress and Wake County Human Services.

DEAR SIR, I AM 63 YEARS OLD AND RECENTLY LOST MY APARTMENT. IT WAS NOT BECAUSE OF NON-PAYMENT OF RENT. IT WAS BECAUSE OF RETALIATION DUE TO MY CALLING CITY OF RALEIGH INSPECTORS TO MY HOME AFTER SEVERAL PROBLEMS IN APARTMENT SUCH AS MISSING HV/AC PIPE. A FAULTY THERMOSTAT NO HOOK UP FOR DRYER AND NEVER ANY EXTERMINATION. I AM CURRENTLY LIVING WITH MY OLDEST DAUGHTER WHO BARELY HAS ROOM FOR HER AND HER 2 CHILDREN. I HAVE PROOF FROM MY BANKING INSTITUTION THAT ALL RENT WAS PAID. I TRIED TO GET ANOTHER APARTMENT AND LANDLORD-IBRAHIM AND ASSOCIATES OF GOLDEN COLONY TOWN HOUSES AT 5499 TRALEE PL. MANY OTHER TENANTS HAVE MOVED OUT.TOLD LIES TO ARDEN WOODS. AFTER I WAS TOLD THAT I HAD THE APARTMENT AND PAID MY DEPOSIT. ARDEN WOODS CALLS ME BACK WHILE I WAS IN NEW YORK AND STAED AFTER 9 DAYS THAT I WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO GET APARTMENT BASED ON THE MANY LIES THE LANDLORD TOLD ABOUT ME. I GAVE HER DISPOSITION FROM COURT WHICH STATED THAT THEY COULD HAVE POSSESSION OF APARTMENT ONLY.

i have apartments on my credit so it is hard to get a place for me and my five kids to stay we are staying in a to two bed room apartment. please help. Just receive birth certificate so i can go on the raleigh housins list i have no criminal background. please help.
