Ready to Rent Workshop: February 11, 2009
February 3rd, 2009 by Kenneth Long
Event Date: Wednesday, February 11, 2009
(Raleigh, NC) Vision Credit Education will be providing a credit self-repair class at the Helen Wright Center for Women. The Helen Wright Center is a transitional shelter for women who are emerging from homelessness. It is managed by Urban Ministries of Wake County.
Credit is such an important part of the application process when renting an apartment or a home. Landlords want to know that you can be trusted to pay your rent on-time, and your credit history is one of the best predictors for that.
Participants will learn how to order their free credit reports without using a credit card. In addition, we will discuss how credit scoring works. Finally, we will review the steps for cleaning up damaged credit, including how to pay off older accounts and disputing inaccurate information.
Time:
1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Location:
Helen Wright Center for Women 401 W. Cabarrus Street Raleigh, NC 27601Vision Credit Education will provide information on credit self-repair and on community services that can help you gain control of your financial situation.
