Ready to Rent Workshop: December 15, 2008

(Raleigh, NC) The South Wilmington Street Center will be hosting the final Ready to Rent Workshop series of 2008. Residents of the South Wilmington Street Center as well as Cornerstone may attend this course in order to take initial steps to gain approval for renting an apartment.
The Ready to Rent Program:
- helps you learn how to improve your credit
- teaches tenant responsibilities
- explains budgeting tools
- establishes relationships with landlords
The three hour credit score workshop will take place on the third day of the class, which is Monday, December 15, 2008. We will discuss the importance of having good credit, and how it can affect your apartment application as well as your employment, insurance and future loan opportunities. In addition, we will show you how you may obtain your credit report for free. Finally, you will learn how you can repair your own credit without paying a company to do it for you.
