2009 Capital Area JobLink Spring Career Expo

(Raleigh, NC) The Spring JobLink Career Expo is expected to attract over 1,000 job seekers in the Triangle. This is higher than previous events due to the economic downturn that has cost tens of thousands of jobs across North Carolina.

9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Employers will be on hand to accept applications, discuss job opportunities and to provide advice for job seekers. Some exhibitors will also be on hand to assist with the following:
- Provide consultation session with job seekers (resume review, mock-interview, career options, next steps)
- Facilitate small group sessions on Job Search Tips during these challenging times
- Credit report assistance is available if your credit has hurt your job search or housing situation
- Free income tax preparation assistance and filing
Representatives from the Wake EITC Coalition will be on hand to provide free income tax preparation. You may also get additional information about taxation of unemployment benefits and certain tax credits.
Job seekers are encouraged to bring several copies of their resume on plain white paper. Professional attire is recommended as you will be meeting company representatives directly.
